Successful 2010 "ArtExpress" applicant

An installation piece served to depict the formation and progress of 'memory' and how it can be of value within ones life. Used to illustrate how a simple memory can be substituted for when a parting or passing occurs between two or more people.

This student got a high band 6 for his Visual Art HSC and has been chosen by not only artexpress but 6 other exhibitions around Australia which have chosen to display his work. It is basically an installation piece which is made out of ice and fibreglass and has been placed on the shore of the beach and filmed as it eventually melts over time. It represents the "passing of memory" and how one can stay fixed within your mind despite that particular person having been passed away.

This artwork was part of the reason which inspired me to undertake an installation project in the first place.
